Founded by Sherele Moody, the movement gently holds space for grief, truth-telling, remembrance and advocacy. The RED HEART Movement is like a field of tiny glowing red hearts, each one whispering, “You mattered. You still matter.”
It gathers the stories of women and children whose lives were stolen by violence and wraps them in dignity, remembrance and love instead of silence and shame.
Sherele Moody created this movement from her own lived experience of grief and trauma, turning heartbreak into fierce compassion and advocacy for others. Her work helps families feel seen, communities feel awakened, and survivors know they are not alone.
It is not only about counting loss — it is about honouring lives, protecting futures, and planting small red seeds of awareness, justice and hope across Australia.
